The Association provides many services and organizes a number of activities for the social, cultural, intellectual and physical well-being of its members. Some of these are:

Regular monthly meetings facilitating socialization and active participation in the activities.
Arrangement of transport for the very frail, disabled to enable them to attend meetings and enjoy cultural functions.
Visits/Outings to beautiful sight-seeing spots such as gardens, beaches, lakes, parks, farms etc.
Facilitate the integration of recent migrant seniors who encounter language, cultural difficulties to fit into new society.
Establish linkages with other organizations having similar objectives to our Association.
Paying visits to hospitals / rest homes / residences of the sick, and the ailing persons for possible care and support services.
Celebration of festivals such as New Year, Matariki, Christmas, Waitangi Day, Diwali, Holi, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day etc.
Organization of specific ethnic events of folk music, classical dances and other activities of interest to the members.
Identify volunteers, arrange their training and professional development for deployment on services when required.
Arrangement of talks, workshops, seminars on topics such as physical fitness, mental health, security & entitlements etc.

Other Services

  • Raise funds through subscriptions, donations and grants etc.
  • Visits to markets/trade centers for shopping or outings etc.
  • Bring out a Newsletter to disseminate information on the work and activities of the Association.
  • Provide information, advice and do advocacy for the older people suffering from discrimination.
